The Health shop

Welcome to my online shop.

You probably ended here looking for some honey but I like you to know some more about it.

First of all, about myself, an engineer by trade but a beekeeper by heart.

I started beekeeping fairly recently (2004) just out of curiosity but ended very soon in devoting most of my spare time to learn how to setup an apiary and grow my own bees.

I have spent last winter in Western Australia working for a major beekeper and learning the art of the trade.
Came back to Europe this spring to continue working for a local beekeper as well as my own bees and the results have been very encouraging.

You can watch some pictures of myself and my bees in my photo gallery here.

As of today I own about 15 hives and produce (mainly for fun) two types of honey:
Acacia (the very sweet, clear one) and Millefiori (darker and more pungent due to the chestnut and honey dew)
The area where I live and work is very popular among bee-keepers all over Italy, due to the abundance of Robinia and Chestnut trees which yield premium quality honey, probably the best in the world.

I can guarantee you that I process everything personally and do not use any chemicals such as antibiotics or pesticides of any kind.
It is a real natural and healthy product, produced to a high quality standard and suitable to everyone.

If you like to try it, you can buy some of my honey by clicking on my PayPal link in the sidebar.
It comes in 500 gr jars as well as 1 kg at 8.00 €/kg + shipping, PayPal will make the necessary calculations for you.

Just for your reference, I am based in Azzate, a small town nearby Varese, Northern Italy, where I arrived in 1991 only to stay there for a few months… But, I guess, such is life sometimes .

Should you like to know more or negotiate a delivery, please drop me a line linking from the mail link in the page header.

Hope to get your enquires soon.

Pieter

Update: I wrote this short presentation some 3 and half years ago and still love the beekeeping. My hives have grown up to 35 and the types of honey I produce are basically five nowadays.
Acacia, Tarassaco, Millefiori, Castagno and Mielata. Prices are still the same as 3 years ago and I have plenty of excellent product so, hurry and order some online! You can see a few pictures taken in my lab last summer, here. (some are funny!)
